One thing that I did that helped me get going was to decide to cook a meal with a friend. We found a couple of recipes online (I suggest epicurious.com and foodnetwork.com) and got the ingredients and just started following the directions. Try to pick something that doesn’t need any special equipment, just stuff you already have. It was a lot of fun and we helped each other figure it out. To start, I would say try 2 recipes marked EASY and see how it goes. Once you feel a bit confident, move to something more complicated. Good luck!
