day 9

Decided to cleanse my house today. Figured if i was to cleanse my body i might as well start on the house. It was slow going. I’m kind of a packrat mixed with lazy and a 4 year old. I got up at 9 and went till 1:30 straight, then intermittantly till 11:00 It looks great, but there’s still so much work that needs to be done. Sorta like my body… Detoxing is so much more energy consuming than toxifiying.

day 8

Still have a cough. Over most other issues, except the gumminess of my teeth, which I don’t think I mentioned, but has been a constant bother for 4 or 5 days. They feel all soft when i bite down, as if I had been eating a fruit roll up or something. It’s gross. I brush my teeth like 10 times a day. And my tongue b/c it too is coated. My daughter says to me today, “Mommy, you have yucky breath. You need to brush your teeth!” Great. You know it’s bad when a 4 year old notices.

day 7

So i forgot to write this morning, I keep doing this. I have lost a total of 7 lbs. Nothing to write home about, considering I’ll probably gain 6 of it back when i start eating again. At least i feel better- no more headache. Did the SWF this morn, don’t know if that’s why i’m better, but i guess this nastiness is an integral part of the fun. I’m really looking forward to veggie soup. Although i have little to no food cravings, i’m kinda bored with the same thing every day. I have to admit I cheated twice today, but not on purpose. Once in a crazy choking fit (I still have a cough) I reached for the nearest liquid which happened to be my daughter’s oj. I figure it’s partially legal- it is what I can drink in 3 days. My other mishap was less of a cheat but more disturbing. While shoving the contents of my 4 year old’s sandwich back into the bread, I got mayo and avocado on my fingers. Without thinking, i licked them off, and can I tell you that 2 of my favorite foods no longer taste good :( I didn’t actually ingest any of it- the grease was so overwhelming I spit it out. I now believe that this fast rewires your brain. I’ll be interested to see what tastes good when i do start eating again, because i have a feeling the cheese is out. Which is probably better. Oh, and i neglected to mention that my period started 2 days ago, which is a week early, and I’m on birth control, so now I wonder if it’s even working. Anyway, it’s still going strong and I really hope it doesn’t plan to stick around for 2 weeks. The joys of purging :}
