My Site: http://www.viewtribe.com
Ok, so doing other people websites is easy because you know you’re getting paid. When it comes to doing your own website, there’s a tendency to keep putting it off while focusing on “real work.” I decided to put aside an entire week to finish my website project which had been hanging over my shoulder for such a long time.
Write down all your steps
Its important to write down the steps you need to take to complete your project. Put an approximate time next to each step stating how long it should take you. Then have the joy of crossing it out when you’re done.
Do the important things first
I was getting stuck on little details that were not necessarily important for the initial launch of the website. For example, agonizing over minute details in my navigation’s hover state…. This is something that can be polished after the site launch. If you’re like me, and just need to have your business’ website running so that clients can have access information about your services, then I encourage you to do the thing that are important for the launch, and then work on the details after the launch.
