It took FOREVER but I’ve finally found something. Moving to DC! It was truly a harrowing experience being unemployed for 6 months. You need to constantly sell yourself at the very moment when you’re most vulnerable and insecure. It was tough, especially with all the people giving me bad advice and acting like they knew it all. But it was worth it in the end. I’m now not only employed but finally moving out of my parent’s house. And moving to a better area for me (DC). So exciting.

All those West Wing fans out there know what I’m talking about—being like the Princeton-educated, to sleep up 1, up at 5, so smart, so motivated, so GOOD, so amazing Sam Seaborn. That’s what I want for myself though I don’t do it.
If I want to get down to 130 pounds and get all A’s, I’m going to have to up the ante and really take things to the next level. It kinda sucks, I kinda don’t want to, and I’m kinda just too lazy for this, but nonetheless, it’s totally necessary in order to succeed.
Addendum…I think I am slowly learning how to be a more hard-working and a more present-in-life sort of person, which is really what Sam’s all about and what I think I can learn from him. 1/21/2010
