OK, I’ve been living in Japan for 23 years. It’s been fun, and I’d do it all over again, but it’s time to move on. Moving to Hawaii will make the whole family happy. It ain’t the mainland, there’s a good mix of cultures, the environment is clean, and the living might be easy to easier than my routine in Japan. My wife is ready for a change, but wants a little Japanese influence. My son could get going with the English thing. We’ve got friends and family over there and have a basic feel for the place. All I need is a job.

I can write hirigans, katakana, and some kanji, but my handwriting is terrible. I teach in Japan and I’d like to be confident enough about my writing ability to write kanji on the blackboard when teaching.
