We had a fantastic time (again) in gorgeous hot weather (great after all the snow and sub-freezing we had in Seattle in Jan)

Saw a bunch of old friends and took some nice side-trips up the coast. Did a whole lot of nothing a lot of the time.

Our poor crew from Creative Bros Landcaping has been facing some of the nastiest weather Seattle can throw at them, including a windstorm that left over a million homes without power!

But they’ve been troopers and have completed the irrigation (as if we need it at this time of year!) and the site levelling for the patio as well as 4 retaining walls.

We are still waiting for 2 more palettes of Pennsylvania Bluestone to arrive before they can lay the patio and pathways before finally adding the grass.

We’ll also be adding a few White-Barked Himalayan Birch trees (Betula Jacquemontii) to act as screens and provide some summer shade to the deck.

I read them out of sequence, devouring Hannibal (book 3) in a day long frenzy some years ago. Now looking forward to the new Hannibal Rising prequel.
