quitting drugs was the single most difficult thing i did and am still doing, it was so damn hard because i was still surrounded by all the people i did them with, and just when you think your done and have quit you get back on it took me so damn long to finally walk away from my friends and everything i held so close to me for that one year of my life. i mean i still see the kids now and then in the hallway at our school. i mean when your finally done with them at you will feel so much better about yourself. but let me tell you there will be hard days when your quitting and when your finally off them completely, but no matter how hard or how depressed you get you have to keep on moving forward, also what really helps is make of playlist of music that inspires you to get sober and move on with that old life and leave it behind. a song that really helped me is “red sky” by thrice. what i got out of it is when he sings “can you see the skys of red” i see it as a new day and new beginning like the sunrise of a new day. it made me see that my life isnt all that bad and you can make your life better if you try just a little you can see that you dont need the drugs to feel good about yourself.. thats what i learned… i found out that when your at your lowest you tend to find who your real friends are and they will help you through the withdrawal. and you have to separate yourself from your “drug friends” all they want for you is to come back and do drugs with them again. and you cant do that, and if you do you’ll feel like shit so bad the next day or while your high because your body got use to not having them in your system. so if your quitting or wanting to quit do those things it will help you in the end, and if your family dose not know your addicted then you have to tell them because they can be the biggest support you need in the end and it will help you all get closer in the end
