The canvas bags are great! Much stronger, hold more, throw them in the wash when they’re dirty. I’d do it even if it weren’t ecologically sound.
When my sister and her family moved to another state her son was homesick for us and his old house. He was only 8 and didnt understand. We took a blanket out into a field in pitch blackness. I showed him the stars and told him that we would both go in our yards and look up and know that we weren’t really that far away from each other since we were both looking at the same stars.
The sky is beautiful in rural areas. Go to the top of a mountain and the beauty will actually make you dizzy. Winter skies are very pretty but I don’t like the cold.
