Not only was “The Great Gatsby” a wonderful book when I read it in college but it is even better today. I think one needs the life experience of disappointed hopes and dreams to really relate to this book. And it still has the finest final sentence in American literature,,,”and so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past”,,,sigh
I even rented the movie from Netflix and thought it was very well done,,,especially the scene where Gatsby shows Daisy his shirts,,,
My next book to read falls under the general “unleash my creativity” goal which i’ve been working on since retirement,,,it is “How to Think like Leonardo Da Vinci” by Michael Gelb.
