I’ve just found that the idea of performing is incredibly unappealing.

How I did it: I've been singing in groups for a long time (nearly 12 years now), and taking voice lessons for a while (5 years). Finally, last year, I got up the nerve to do an entire recital myself. How I did it: I started out by using an idea from my advisor. In the course of reading information in the area, I found a project idea that I enjoyed, and thought was novel. I took it to my advisor and got approved. Read how I did it…
I got stuck with an awful teacher for the term, nothing like the one I had way-back-when. Too bad, too, I used to love to sing.
I finally finished the Book of Revelation, which was a trip. I actually wound up taking a class on the New Testament thisyear, which helped me with the goal. Definitely was an interesting experience, and I’m glad I did it once.
