So many places to post the same stuff! I am not certain about what to post where…so I’m in the phase of posting the same thing everywhere. For starters, I have this place – the “43” place. For now it is my “idea capturing system” – although not as portable as I would hope for. Then there is myspace and blogger. These are the places I have found myself returning to. But how boring is it that I post the same stuff on myspace that I do on blogger! I’m hoping to find discernment as to what to post where…

This past month I became enamored with “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis. This was a book that I really enjoyed (over and over again) through an audio recording. Consequently the characters were vivid. I also found that I could see myself in each of the characters (rather than pointing to others). As a result I experienced incredible prayers and choices. I highly recommend experiencing this book as an audio recording!

I did start blogging earlier in the year and found myself loosing interest in maintaining it on a daily basis when other “priorities” came up. This summer I have an opportunity to volunteer for a couple of hours at an after-school program (www.richstone.org) where I hope to blog my experiences. Currently my company website (www.creatorkids.com) has the proposed link for the blog – which I have presently started using blogger (www.raisingcreatorkids.blogspot.com). But ultimately the thing I want to do is modify and create content on www.creatorkids.com…

I am investigating a couple of possibilities for “home-swaps” during the summer of 2008. Sure – it would be just 4-9 weeks – but that is a step in the direction of living there for a year!
Anyone have the desire to be in Studio City instead of Dorset/Wilshire, England (our first choice location)?

Going to a Small Group seems to have made daily devotions come more gracefully. While our Small Group does not suggest what to read, I do know week to week what we will be reading. Presently we are reading Romans – one chapter a week.
What I have become curious about (on and off my whole life) are the books not included in the bound Bible – such as Testament of Solomon, etc. So perhaps I should take a step into reading such writings so they are no longer a curious mystery to me…

Yes, it is true. But understand that the great majority were picture books for my young kids! We shifted from TV to books last year and WOW what a journey.
I use “Literature for Lively Lessons” as a guide for selecting their books. And I use the LAPL holding system too (I am loved and hated at our local library). We’ll read at least 5 new picture books every day.
My 6-year old is ready for chapter books, which will slow the quantity down a bit. But my 3-year old is a verbal guys and WANTS HIS BOOKS…lol.
The greatest reward? Watching my kids include books in their play. Books have become more than familiar to them, they have become their friends!

I’ve stated with the classic “My Utmost for His Hightest” by Oswald Chambers…

After giving birth to two incredible children when I was 35 and 38: Why Hurry? The body really suffers!
Why Wait? I’ve already made enough strides in my career so that I can focus on the experience of being a mother.

My husband is British, so visiting England is obvious. I would love for our family to live in Europe for one contiguous year every 3 to 4 years. The “timing” for the first contiguous year will not be in these next 2 years, but we can keep the momentum up with another 2 week vacation this the summer.

I want to have the skills of knowing how to tinker with my own website. I have a GREAT web guy – very artistic. But my ideal scene is that I get to do all the fun tinkering!
My current website is www.creatorkids.com (be forewarned that it is for a business)
Among many ideas that come, I’d love to create and add fun splashes similar to www.groovechamber.com

I love my little kids – and I am committed to being 100% available to them at any time. I found the skills I needed to have my own business through the growth of becoming a mom.
