After years of waiting for it to be the right time, my husband and I are finally getting a dog! One of his parents’ neighbors took in a dog that had been dumped, and she had pups. We’re taking one in! I can’t wait till he’s old enough to come home with us.

How I did it: My husband and I decided to go on a low carb diet for a while. Well, we pretty much have to cook to accomplish that. It's been great! I've gotten my husband to try eating things he never would have considered before, and he loved them! We both feel so much healthier. It's more expensive than our previous diet, but it will get better as we slowly add back whole grains. Read how I did it…
How I did it: This actually coincided really well with getting a puppy... I had to go home every day at lunchtime to let him out, and I decided to get a nice pump espresso machine so I could make lattes at home while I was with the puppy. It worked for me! Now that I don't have to go home at lunchtime anymore, I've cut back on coffee anyway. I just have one latte in the morning before work, and don't even consider Starbuck's anymore mid-afternoon. How I did it: It took lots of phone calls, emails, IMs, and tears... but after three long years we decided to get married, and he's moved into town for graduate school. When he's done next year we're getting married! Read how I did it…

I’m afraid I’m falling out of love with him (after 3.5 years). I don’t know how… until a week ago I felt magic every time I was with him, but I don’t miss him like I should now that he is gone again. Maybe I’m just getting cold feet, but I am not sure I can really ever be content with him. I’ve never had a problem with feeling committed to him before, and I’ve never been unrealistic in my expectations. Maybe that is the problem. I just don’t know anymore…
I signed up for a class with my university this fall. Hopefully afterwards I will be confident enough in my skating and passing that I will be able to play drop in with my boyfriend!
