How I did it: I spent about a year developing the idea and working on the program. Once I like where it was going, I wrote the text and made rough drafts of the workbook charts. When it was all written, I and hired my cousin to design it, then I self published on lulu.com. Very easy. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took a class on building websites in Dreamweaver, decided what was the least I could get away with putting up, and launched. I had some issues with getting my site hosted, so I called the company I use and they were really helpful. I didnt' have much of a clue what I was doing, and they walked me through the whole thing. I found a 5k to sign up for. I wish they were free, but I get having to charge for them. The race is to raise funds and awareness to prevent strokes. It’s close to home so I could walk there, and it’s on a weekend, so there really isn’t any reason to not do it. I haven’t 100% decided to sign up yet, so I’ll wait to put the money down, but I am starting to research 5 k self training programs.
Fist class was kind of a bust since the teacher was 30 mins late and I couldn’t stay to make up the lost time. Then the second session I was sick for and had to reschedule. Next class is tomorrow and will be 1 1/2 hours. I’m not sure how to make it work out for me, I think I need classes more often to really make progress. I wish I could have a class for 50 minutes everyday. I do believe I would be speaking Turkish pretty good if that were the case.
