A Bit Sudden But Slightly Expected 2 years ago

Things have taken a complete turn for me at the moment, with one of the end results being that I now have to find a new place to live by the end of this month.

Nothing’s really hit me about it yet – I guess I still haven’t accepted it as happening! – but on the practical side I’m starting to look for houses.

I’m getting better at this; I’m writing in my diary on average about every two days, recording my thoughts and feelings and events that are going on around me, and I suppose that as a writer that’s one of the most important things I could be doing.

Here’s hoping I keep it up!

watch Pirates of the caribbean 2

After the genius that was the first Pirates of the Caribbean, I could rightly be forgiven for thinking that the second one was going to be awesome.

It wasn’t.

I spent most of the film waiting for the story to start. Parts that other people had raved about as being “hilarious” and “fantastic” raised one-note “huh” laughs from me at best and half a smile at worst. The cast are great actors but unfortunately it’s the writing that lets them down. The ending was like a cliff-hanger ending from a soap opera.

I went to see ”...At World’s End” last night, and that wasn’t very good, either. Again, the writing was the problem and the stories were too complex at times to really pick up their thread. I had hoped that the second film was going to be the poor interlude between 2 great films, but that just wasn’t the case.

Stick to the first – it’s definitely the best and the one worth watching!
