I’m 40 and rapidly running out of time. My hubby and I have been married for five years. It seems that financial crap has always gotten in the way of us having a baby. One part of me says to try to get pregnant now, and the other says ‘Not yet! Wait til we have more money!’ Well, time’s running out, and I don’t want to look back and regret missing out on motherhood because of a stupid thing like money. Sometimes, I wonder if, at the age of 40, whether I still have the energy left to look after a ball of energy, but I think that the love for your child would outweigh that.

It was during a windy, nighttime thunderstorm years ago in my parents wooded back yard when they were out of town. It was very romantic and sexy and … primitive! Totally worth it!!! Later on, we laughed that it was a good thing we didn’t get struck by lightning to have my parents find our charred bodies welded together doggie-style!!!... Too bad my then-boyfriend turned out to be a nutjob!
