Our mother is dying – after three years of fighting cancer. We both know that I am better able to rush to my mothers side. We have a deal, I call – no matter what the occasion or insignificant event.

How I did it
It made me 
How I did it: It started as a wretched grassy patch at the front of the house. I hand dug it with a little trowel (all I had at the time) and as I dug along all I turned up was dead grubs - pleh.Many bags of top soil, dozens of bulbs, bedding plants, contributions from Mom's garden and a few seed packets later I have an amazing garden. Okay. I have pledged to raise $2500.00 and to be ready to ride 200 miles (over 2 days) by June 12, 2010. I have 37 weeks.
