One of my problems in writing a manuscript is extreme impatience. Then I recently read the average novel takes between 2 to 7 years. I am reading an excellent novel that took about 4 years to write. Fooooour years. It is like giving birth to an elephant, I guess, except that it takes a little longer. Impatience will get me nowhere I want go to, I suppose.
