I donated plasma and got really sick because I had a cold and it just made it worst…so keep this in mind before you go donate…also I want to add that getting folks involved with donating plasma at a young age really helps ‘train’ folks to donate blood for free when they are older…there is no substitute for human blood and so it is something that everyone must contribute.
Lots of information and a directory of all the plasma centers in the US here: http://bloodbanker.com

Yes, my heart is completely broken as I type this at 3:40am on a Thursday. I wrote a letter to her that explains where I’m at but still, I can’t fall asleep and can’t stop thinking about her. I won’t go into some speech about how wonderful and amazing she is…she really is, but what I will do is just keep typing and hoping the pain will go away. Ouch, man I fell so hard for this one, I never felt this way before. It so sucks to feel this way…its like nothing really matters, there is no joy anywhere. Wow, I guess I’ll just have to pick myself up by my bootstraps and try try again…as Jerry said it…nothing left to do but smile smile smile!

Whoa…did you know this:
So everytime you donate blood the bloodbank would get:
1 red blood cell unit
1 unit of platelet
1 unit of plasma
…follow me? So here is how many each takes:
Automobile Accident
- up to 50 Units of Red Blood Cells
Organ Transplant Recipient
- up to 40 units of RBC
- 30 of Platelet
- 25 of Plasma
I found this fact here: http://bloodbanker.com/plasma/centers/automated-blood-donation-the-noob-explaination/
spread the word that blood donation is VERY important.
