“I’m married, have two sons, ages 29 and 26, and a crazy Scottie named Maggie Teagan. We live in Southern California, and I do medical transcription out of my home.

One of my favorite books is “The Song of the Lark” by Willa Cather, and my all-time favorite piece of music is “The Lark Ascending” by Ralph Vaughn Williams. My favorite literary characters are Pooh and Piglet.

I’ve become aware of how truly ignorant I am on a wide variety of subjects, and am using listsofbests, last.fm and goodreads to try to remedy this before dementia sets in and takes it all away. I’m going to have to read (and listen) fast—”
