i’m pretty excited about this little goal here. i mean, my dreams are pretty ridiculous and bizarre, and i’m always happy to remember them. i didn’t realize it until today when i was required to interpret a dream for a course on consciousness. the more i re-pictured the dream, the more details arose, and the more creative i felt. as i wrote, i felt my writer’s block slowly dissipate. it’s awesome.
today’s story is one about mushrooms, hallucinations, and monsters. a wonderful time!
and the great thing about writing about a dream, or having a dream serve as the starting point (or the entire) story is that the symbolism is inherent to them. they already mean much more than can be understood on the surface…there’s so much to be discovered, understood, interpreted, etc.
so yeah. and it’s all original. so it feels good.
