making progress 20 months ago

Taking formal classes with the Rabbi at the synagogue. I am living a Jewish life – or taking steps to get there. I’m fumbling with Hebrew (but making some progress), learning the blessings, the songs and just what goes into the making of a Jewish life. I study the text and everyday I am a little closer to my goal.

My best friend’s husband is an accountant and has offered to do my taxes for me providing I get him the information. All I need do is fax him the documents on Tuesday and he will work up the paperwork!

I still have not filed last year’s taxes … I don’t know what my basic problem is, but I haven’t. I won’t owe anything. This will be the first year I will claim anything other than the standard deduction … I have a house now and interest deductions and all that jazz … I guess I better get on it before the end of the year. Pretty soon I’ll have to do it again.
