I first did this for my mum’s 50th birthday. She’d been after necklaces to jazz up some of her outfits, and pointed to one of mine that she liked and said she wanted the exact same thing in red. The necklace she was referring to I’d had for a very long time and I didn’t think I could find it for her in red, so I decided to make her one. It was actually surprisingly easy and it went down very well!
Since then, being the poor student that I am, I’ve been thinking about how I could make money out of my new hobby. So I’ve been thinking I could sell some of my jewellery at a craft fair. I just need some inspiration for some different styles now.

The best thing ever happened to me today. I was eating my way through the box of chocs my best friend gave me for my birthday and was mourning the end of it as I came to the last one…until I discovered a whole other layer! Ah new realms of pleasure…
Since I left school, I’ve had these past few months where I’ve had nothing that I MUST do. That’s been quite nice after the pressure of exams right at the end of term, but I feel like its gone on long enough. I had all these big plans of things I could achieve after I had no work to do any more, but I haven’t done very many of them. Surprise surprise. Getting in some practice for my grade 8 was one of them, but it’s now been several months since I even picked up the sax. I’m off to uni next weekend, so I’m not sure if there’ll be anything there to spark new-found motivation either.
