List at least 1 thing that made me happy every day.
August 25th

Something that made me happy today was:
The non-stop laughter at lunch. I love my friends.

Join another sport.
Untitled

The only sport that I play currently is basketball. It’s taken me a while to get adjusted to that, so I don’t really want to join a sport that takes years of experience, considering I lack those years. I’d like to join something such as cross country or track.

Have an amazing high school career.
Untitled

I’ve recently gone through some super-annoying drama shit, and in high school, I don’t want any of that to happen. I want it to be fun, drama-free, and memorable. So that in 20 years when I look back I’ll be able to say it was the best 4 years of my life.

Stay out of conflict.
Untitled

There’s a girl in all of my classes who used to be my best friend. We were pretty much inseparable. But, out of nowhere three days before high school began, she decided to be cold and not talk to me. She mentioned the act of “shunning” me. But see, her father is the coach of the basketball team for our school, which I’m going to be on. (Whether she likes it or not.) He still likes me, but that’ll be a problem for her, because she’s the kind of girl who thinks everyone should always give her the full attention, and if she doesn’t like someone, nobody should. If her own FATHER treats me as a (God forbid) EQUAL, then she’ll throw a fit, and it wouldn’t be the first time. Throughout the basketball season, and just the school year in general, I’d like to avoid conflict with this girl. The easiest way would be to just make up with her and stop the “cold war” altogether, but I’ve tried apologizing already. She wouldn’t accept. The funny thing is that I’d never even done anything (that I know of) to bring any of this on. I don’t need her in my life, but unfortunately, she HAS to be a large part of it. So avoiding major conflict with her would be wonderful.

Shoot 100 foul shots a day.
Untitled

Basketball is a HUGE part of my life. I recently went to a basketball camp; it wasn’t a very good one, but it was a camp. The coach there told me that I have good shooting and could have a great future in basketball if I’d just keep at it and don’t go a day without it. He told me to keep my shooting top-notch I should shoot 100 fouls shots a day, along with just shooting around, dribbling drills, and of course, sprints. I haven’t really been doing that. But I know I should.

Be nicer to 6th graders.
Untitled

There’s a bunch of 6th graders riding my bus this year. (I’m in 9th.) They tend to get on my nerves, so I just snap at them and feel bad about it later. I mostly tell them about how they think they’re all old and mature, when most of them haven’t even hit puberty. Basically, my biggest point in this goal is the just try to block them out so that I don’t end up turning into a monster in their eyes.
