This is undoubtly one of the hardest things a person has to do…not just lose weight but comitting to a permanent life-style change. Why do it? You feel so much better. You look so much better. You have such a sense of accomplishment. It boosts your confidence and there is something very magnetic about people that beleive in themselves. Start with drinking lots of water and forget soft drinks even exist. And start to MOVE more.
Just swaying to music while sitting at the computer is a start to exercising. Your body needs to burn energy. It was engineered that way. If you stop moving you’ll seize up like an old, rusty farm tractor left out in a field. There are a million places to educate yourself about healthy eating and the right kind of exercise for you. The first step is to determine you really want to lose weight. No one can force you and you have to be true to yourself. You are the only one that matters in this. Don’t agonize over “Cheating” on a diet. It’s not a diet your on. It’s the decision to eat more sensibly. Lower your intake of fats and excessive calories and monitor your portions. And increase your movement (exercice) levels. Don’t forget to live life. If someone brings donuts to the office-have a donut. Just not everyday and certainly not 4 like we’d all like to do. That’s where the self control comes in. You control everything. Make it real and make it liveable. You’ll succeed if you work at making changes. Little changes at a time.

Sounds impossible. It sure wasn’t impossible to put on 70 extra pounds. I think of packing around 70- 1 pound blocks of butter in my arms everywhere I go. Each time I lose a pound, I can drop one of those bricks of butter. I had to start somewhere. First, gave up junk food, cut down on portion size. Drink lots of water. Get regular exercise (Curves). Eat a balanced and healthy diet.
