Since my camcorder (one of the last reasonably-priced ones with an analog-passthrough that allowed me to run a VCR through it to transfer video) is no longer being recognized by my PC, I’m holding out at this point for the Ion VCR2PC, which is essentially a USB VCR with editing software. It looks promising, as long as it’s not too expensive.

The past few days I’ve made some nice headway here. I’m taking things one section at a time, first focusing on the front area. I’m consolidating, organizing, and pitching (though, admittedly, I’ve always had trouble pitching enough).
Oh, and I should mention that the vinyl unit mentioned in my previous entry has been built (it’s great). Unfortunately, I’ve got two metal shelving units still unbuilt.
I’ve decided to take the approach of cleaning the basement like we’re moving. Why? Because by the time I finally finish, we’ll probably be ready to move again. :)
I’m back to trying to clean up the basement and have put the old TV on an old cart that used to hold my stereo. I’m planning on having a tiny little area downstairs with two chairs, the TV, and the Odyssey (and maybe a mini-shrine for the game boxes if we still have them).
Two things holding me back:
- have to find an outlet
- have to find the Odyssey (oops)
