There is a McD’s on my route to and from work. There are times, mornings and afternoons when I really really want a cheeseburger or a breakfast sandwich, but conveniently enough I’m on a bus and refuse to make the stop just for fast food. But I’ve found other times when I’m walking and the thought crosses my mind to stop – french fries will beckon – but then I don’t and I keep on walking. I remember all the health reasons why I shouldn’t stop and add on the poundage so I keep walking past and I feel really good about that.

How I did it
How I did it: I graduated with a Master's degree in Public Administration in New York City and realized Seattle was the best opportunity in which I can establish my career and become the woman that I'm supposed to be. Read how I did it…

14 months through a fellowship program at Baruch College. I’m glad to have done it.
I made my decision to relocate to Seattle after spending my second summer in New York. I’ll take nine months of Seattle’s neverending gray for that brief ray of sunshine in the summer compared with the ten weeks of New York City’s humidity and heat and smells and thrills and crowds and storms and yes, I’ll even give up NYC’s neverending nightlife.
I fell in love with Seattle. Georgetown Rocks. I’ll be there by mid-August.
