How I did it: We bought the fresh blueberries and put them in the refrigerator. Later I washed them all in the sink, then laid the blueberries out on paper towels to absorb the water. After they were pretty dry, I put them in baggies and loaded the baggies in the freezer. The trick is to put about one cup or so in each small baggie, leave a bit of air in the bag, seal it and lay it flat in the freezer to freeze. TIPS: Fresh is best. Fill the … Read how I did it…
How I did it: The thistles were planted from seeds last summer. They came up early spring, got to be over 6 feet tall and full of prickly thorns. I went out with the camera and took photos of the purple blossoms. Bees love the blossoms and pluck them out as they gather the nectar. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought jump rings and jewelry pliers. Searched through my jewelry drawer for a bracelet to use. I found a couple but ended up with a brown, silver, elasticized one. Well, guess what? Putting it in water didn’t do anything except make the water absolutely reek! I have changed the water over and over, still nothing. And the smell is beyond tolerable—-so, I have tossed the offending ti plant stick away! Too bad, so sad!
A fruit seller at the Farmer’s Market in Kauai gave me a Ti Plant. It is a dry looking “stick” that you put in water until it sprouts and comes back to life. Then you plant it in dirt. It’s a gorgeous red and purple and green leafy houseplant. I can’t wait for it to sprout!
I saw Ben Folds in Chicago. He was AMAZING! I was so excited at the end of the show, I jumped out of my seat, dropped my phone and didn’t even notice! I got home and NO PHONE!!!! Ben Folds stole my phone! And I loved it….
