I noticed this morning that I have saved enough right now to pay 70% of the loan back to them. If I can save the additional 30% by April, I will pay the entire balance off then and have this monkey off my back! Must continue to watch spending so that I can pay this off ASAP!! :)

I am going to be able to pay them $10000 in April 2009 and the remaining $10000 the following April. Can’t wait to have this monkey off my back!
Retirement contributions
I have increased my retirement contributions. I will put away the 3% that the company I work for matches, then I will put $5,000 in my Roth IRA this year. Since I don’t carry any debt except my mortgage, I will focus on these 2 items first, then when I have reached them, I will put more toward my mortgage. This will be the first year I have ever fully funded my Roth IRA and I am very excited to see it grow!
