I recently started growing some plants from seed. I haven’t done that since I was a little kid. It’s been really great to watch them crop up. My first seedlings are tomato and strawberry (my little one insisted on the strawberries, who am I do deny happiness? ;) )
Today I built my own growhouses I was so pleased with myself for doing that. I’ve wanted to do so for a few years. I finally just went out and did it. I also repotted the tomato seedlings into individual pots. It was a lesson in learning to let go, as I lost a few plants… But I’m pretty sure I don’t need 20 plants! Instead I have ten… and yes, even that is way too many! But I honestly didn’t think the seedlings would grow that well. I also repotted various lettuce types. My two growhouses are now full. But hopefully by the time the new seedlings are ready to repot, I’ll either build new houses or have transplanted some of the plants into a patch. I’m more into the idea of a container garden as I have a bit of a blight problem with my garden. But that could be because I’ve never used the right products or complementary planting. Serious problem with bugs and disease with every plant I’ve ever planted in the garden though…
In the next couple of days I will be sowing carrot, cucumber, coriander, dill, baby sweetcorn, radishes and various flowers for my hanging baskets.
It helps that i’m extremely intolerant to it. I actually find the smell of dairy disgusting now.
