I'm doing 12 things
we have downsized (or rightsized), sold our house and most of our possessions, keeping only one bed, one set of linens, one set of drawers, one desk, just enough for the two of us. everything we couldn’t sell we gave to charity or friends. i only own three pairs of shoes and enough clothes to last me a week. i no longer have 25 different moisturisers or shampoos, just one of each. it feels so great to be living with less. lighter, freer.

we sold our tv about a month ago. we do more fun stuff now like go to the theatre, go to wine tasting evenings, local craft shows, launch parties and i’m about to take sewing lessons. we have so much more quality time together, i’ve even got my husband playing canasta with me… our lounge feels more spacious and clear and if we want to watch a dvd, we do it in watching a laptop with my tivoli PAL plugged in for great sounds, snuggled up in bed… it’s wonderful!
only what i think of me. i’ve always wanted a funky purple hat and now i have one…. i get tons of comments about it too. and to think i always thought i would be laughed at! sheesh….
