I am so late. I’m truly sorry I missed your birthday. I’ve been scarce with unpacking and lost track of everything.
I hope you had a wonderful wonderful time with all the bacon of your dreams. I rustled up some popcorn and thought of you…

How I did it: Got up enough nerve. Took a buddy. Took aim. There was a lot of pain but over in a second. Was it worth it? Sure! Would I dare to go again? Sure! Is it hard to keep quiet about it? Sure! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Pick your comrades wisely, and you will surely share the finest bonding and joy known to humankind!Pick like-minded individuals, those who want to receive and give as you do. Reciprocity is key. Giving friendship is a gift.If someone says he's a taker, not a giver... well, you might as well trust him for that. And move along, move along! Read how I did it…
How I did it: It was easy. I was with someone I really knew well and trusted. This person who laughed out loud with me knows me pretty much inside and out and would do anything - anything! - to make me happy. I can be myself, goofy or ridiculous as that may be. That's the key to everything. We gave each other the same good out-loud belly laugh. May it always be so easy, so genuine. Read how I did it…

Tired of second-guessing.
Tired of the false notion of finding nobility in having no expectation.
Tired of bland.
Tired of always not enough.
and though I accept it for the here and foreseeable, I can leap like a desert rat through the… wait… there’s brush over by this lonesome highway: small scrubby plants that are quite beautiful as the sun rises and sets on them. And a signpost, bent and dented, a little landmark to show how far I’ve come and what direction is possible whether I choose it or not.
There is a small hole in the dirt by the side of the road. I didn’t notice it before. There may be some animal life in it flourishing underground. Maybe there are hidden pools of water. Maybe I can dig another hole. Maybe lots of them, like black dots, or escape hatches.
Most of all I like being mobile in the desolation. I wonder if I’ll see a hand wave from one of the holes.
