I had a foster child in my class, and I decided to adopt her instead. She is eight now, and I’m so glad I did it!

For practicality reasons, I would think Spanish or even Chinese would make sense, but those don’t especially appeal to me. Maybe German? Its not the prettiest sounding language, but I loved Germany. I would love to go back there, and to Switzerland and Austria, so German might come in handy.
Ideally I would love to build a cob house, but I’m not sure where or when I would do it. Land in Massachusetts is out of the question- way too cost prohibitive, and I’m sure even if I could afford it, codes would be a problem. I occasionally scour the internet for land deals, but I just don’t see myself moving away from my family and friends. Still, I teach school, and have summers off, so I could find some inexpensive land not too far away (Maine, perhaps), I could hopefully someday build a cob cottage or strawbale home to spend summers in. That would be very cool!
