How I did it: Found a great realtor who took us to see 3 houses one day. The first 3 were absolute dumps... and the 4th was OUR home. We knew it right away. We put our offer in as soon as our realtor heard another offer was going to be made - we got lucky and made the first offer. I chose some nice paint for my office. I’m going to do one wall (where the window is) in a chocolate brown and the rest are going to be a light golden yellow. Now I’ve gotta find a desk & chair, hopefully both old with character (and I’ll paint them white).
I started knitting a couple of scarves for my best friends. Am thinking about crocheting snowflakes to put in w/ Xmas cards, too.
I’m so close! Could take a ferry there from Newfoundland… just haven’t gotten there yet! Hopefully some opportunity will pop up this summer.
