Communal Living 3 years ago

My problem with communal living, is that I’m afraid of perverts; I do not want to come into contact with hippy wannabes who thinks communal living is all about getting stoned, having sex with anything that breathes, and refusing to bathe ( I’ve heard horror stories from people who have lived with these kind of non edible nuts ), my ideal commune would be a place where there are acres and acres of land, mostly used for farming vegetables, and perhaps some free range chickens. We could have a potluck diner twice or thrice a month , music circles, and safe , caring home schooling. A place where elders are respected, and don’t have to work, and children are safe..
This has been a dream of mine for years and I believe that there are others who share this dream as well. It’ll take lot’s of work, but it can be done.. I’m also interested in strawbale houses, but that’s another story !!! Earlier this year, I had wanted to live as a guest at certain ecco villages for a few weeks just to get a feel, of the lifestyle, but unfortunately, things haven’t worked out as planned ( jobless – hence, no money saved ),so perhaps in the nearby future I can do this, God willing …
