lose weight (read all 3 entries…)
After trying so many times... 2 months ago

I’m actually losing weight and keeping it off! I was 140 when I started college, I’m 128 now! 12 pounds in 10 weeks is awesome for me! I haven’t been this thin in years. I think I look pretty good at this weight, but maybe I’ll drop a few more pounds. I’ve tried losing weight before and I always gain it all back. I’m a little scared for the holidays but I know I can do it!

10 weeks and counting for sticking to my diet.

Progress! 2 months ago

It’s been 3 weeks since my last post and I hit a plateau as soon as I made my last entry. The first four pounds lost since I’ve been in college came off so fast. Then I was stuck at 136 for a week. I’m finally losing again and when I weighed myself this morning, I was 132! All I want is to be under 130 by Halloween. I have more than 3 weeks to lose more than 2 pounds. If I don’t hit another plateau, I should be able to do it.

Also, I have a dance coming up this weekend. I bought my dress in a medium and it was a little big. They didn’t have smalls and I really liked the dress so I bought it. I’ve lost another 5 pounds since I bought the dress so I hope it still fits me well enough so it isn’t falling off.

So it's been a while 3 months ago

I kind of forgot about 43things. Oops. Anyway, I was down to about 125 pounds and I really wanted to get to 123 or 119. Then spring and summer rolled around and while most people start exercising again, I started eating more. I lost sight of my goals and gained 17 pounds. I was 142. I got down to 140 before I came to college and now I want desperately to pull a reverse freshman 15 and it’s actually working!

I’m down to 136 as of two days ago. It could be better but I’ll take it. My eating is weird because my classes are at different intervals everyday so I don’t get to eat at the same time. My roommate is a dietetics major so she definitely helps me stay away from the bad foods, or at least eat them in smaller portions. I really want to get down to 126, ideally 121 or 119.

But we’ll see. It depends on how I feel about my body and I really just want to tone up and feel good about myself. The number doesn’t matter as much as how I view myself.

Save money (read all 2 entries…)

I suppose I should’ve started saving earlier but better late than never. I’m going into college in a few weeks and I want to save money if I can.

My dad recently lost his job and I want to help pay off my college tuition even if I can only contribute a few hundred at a time. I have no job but I’m going to try to get one at college if it fits into my schedule.

Every time I get some money, I want to put about a fifth or fourth of it right away in savings. I’m starting out with $30 right now.

Save $100 in change
Finally 6 months ago

I’ve been looking for something to help me stop dipping into my change jar and I think this is it. There’s something about publicly posting the amount of change I have that makes me not want to fail haha.

I have $39.99 right now. I had more but I spent some.

I get money, I spend it. I’ve finally had enough. I don’t have a job but I am thinking about running a garage sale or selling things on ebay. I would get a job but I’m leaving for college in 2 months and no one is going to hire me for 2 months.

I would like to start saving money to help pay for college. I’m thinking of getting a job when I go there but I should definitely get acclimated to college before I take on a job so it might be a while.

One step (though small) that I’ve taken is saving my spare change. I used to spend it to help pay for everything but now I’m saving it and I won’t let myself touch it. It makes me spend only bills which makes me think more about what I’m spending. Plus, I’m saving money that way too.

I’m keeping very strict track of how much money I have, including change. I’m hoping this is going to work for me.

Start working out again. And keep working out.

My boyfriend broke up with me last week and I was really stressed. I was at home and couldn’t sit still so I went running. I live right down the street from a park so I did a lap around the park. It’s a mile and my first lap was about 8min. I’ve only gone 4 times since then, but my time is already under 8min and it gets faster every time. I hope to keep this up and eventually get under a 6min mile. It has helped me get over my boyfriend, it calms me down, and I feel like I’m actually doing something good for myself. I’ll see where I am in a few weeks but I think this will be a habit that sticks.

Looking 3 posts down, the total was at 4,813,000. So this should be the new total, right?

4,818,000 + 2,000 = 4,820,000

Great thing to do when you’re bored. Improve vocab, and help world hunger! I love this site.

Visit Spain
Untitled 21 months ago

I went to Spain through my high school last year for 10 days. I wish it could’ve been longer. It was definitely one of the most fun things I’ve ever done and I plan on going back there eventually. Hopefully I can study abroad at college. This experience sparked a love for traveling and it’s now one of my favorite things to do. Completely worth it.
