i was a debutante there this year
I’ve been moving around since I was about 6 months old. singapore, jakarta, germany, kuala lumpur. and soon austria!!! :) but my real home is singapore :)
It may have hurt a bit – though not as much as I imagined it to. My friends all complained about the pain, but it only took me a few hours to get used to it and I was fine. What’s all the complaining about??
Anyway, First I got something called a twin block. It’s this two retainer like things, that you click onto your bottom and your top jaw. And you have to turn this thing every week, so that it widens. I had that about 6 months I think.
Then I got my braces out in. Fixed braces. Those I had for slightly over a year. Then it came off. (Most of my friends don’t even remember me with braces :P I moved, so they only saw me with them for half a year)
Now I have a wire behind my bottom front teeth and a retainer.
It’s deffinatly worth it! Now my teeth are nice and straight :)
I was there when I was really young – maybe 4 or 5.. So about 10 years ago, i guess.. Anyway, I hope to go back this summer :) I can’t wait!!!
It was just amazing. I’ve seen two of them already :) Saltimbanco (my first and fav) and Allegria (this was a bit creepy..)
Saltimbanco was really cool. It was all so liveley and colourful. I didn’t like Allegria so much.
I wanted to watch Quidam last year, when it was in singapore, but we weren’t there at the time and the tickets are pretty expensive..
I really want to watch the one in Vegas. Apparently, the stage turns into a pool and the water is sucked out again. How cool is that?!
But you have to watch at least one Cirque du Soleil show in your lifetime. It’s just amazing!
well, it was my old room. and that was actually only, because we were moving out and wanted to rent the house out to others, so we painted the whole house. Though.. I can’t remember whether I really painted my own or whether it was my parents who did it… :P
I did this yesterday. it’s soooo much fun!! :) totally worth it.
I was just standing around waiting to close the gate after the car had gone in and I decided to jump in one.
Just so much fun!!
i’ve seen it several times.. each time SDT did it (every 2 years) and we were living there, we went to watch.
their new version wasn’t as good as the old one.. :( a bit disappointing, but still really nice
i saw the royal ballet, when they came to singapore. it was really beautiful.. it was a night performance, so i was feeling tired.. and i had trouble keeping my eyes open :P but it was really nice!
I used to do lindy hop and then when i entered for a dance competition, my dance teacher choreographed a charleston number for me. I think I’ve performed the charleston at at least 2 events. maybe even 3.. but it’s fun!!
I’ve lindy-hopped since I was about 8 or 9. But then I stopped when I was 11, i think. But it was fun!! I wanna do again!!
i think i learnt the balboa during SEA Jam!!! or maybe it was… nah, i think it was balboa..
it was fun. I just did it. not long though. just danced in the rain, while closing the gate :P but was still fun.
I can’t live without it! it’s just so much faster and looks a lot better!!
Plus, there’s the hiding and dashboard, which is really cool!! :):):):)
It’s the best!
I had to read this as part of a holiday reading asignment. The book was pretty good. And of course it’s worth doing, because otherwise I would be in a lot of trouble when we get back to school…
