I’m becoming more of a girl. About a month ago, my sister straightened my hair for me. I’ve never really liked to fuss with it much, but it looked so good that I’ve been straightening on a regular basis. But I’d also like to do other things because straight hair all the time can be pretty boring. And I get bored of the same old thing very easily. I originally wanted to get a perm….but now I just want to learn how to curl it properly and maybe do more intricate up-dos. Perming might go horribly wrong..and it’s bad for your hair besides.

How I did it: I got involved (as a rep) for a company which sells all kinds of household and personal care stuff...and it's all "green"! My membership with them requires that I make a certain amount of personal purchases (and it's really easy to meet those requirements). The idea is that you switch over from traditional brands to their eco-friendly stuff. So that has helped me reduce my dependence on walmart considerably. Read how I did it…
A couple weeks ago I watched “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane” and fell in love with Blanche’s bedroom furniture. It put me in mind of a dresser that I used to have (now gathering filth in my sister’s room at my Mom’s house) which I inherited at my most favorite house I’ve ever lived in (which was built in the late 1800’s). I’ve always preferred old stuff…I guess I want my house to reflect that better—kind of a combination of retro and modern.
I haven’t been drinking as frequently as in the past. I’ve been pretty sick of socializing, I guess. Of course it’s not how frequently I drink that is the problem….it’s how I can’t seem to stop once I’ve started. An issue of “pacing” myself and such. I just don’t like being drunk….slurry, stumbly…stupid…and blacking out…and then hungover as hell the next day. I like being just sort of “buzzZed” and need to learn how to maintain that state of intoxication rather than going beyond it…into the dark realms!
