Finding/meeting our soulmates in life is something that so many people long to do but are often impatient in their journey. It’s not hard to get caught up in love and its easy to think right away that this is the one for me. I’ve been through a lot of relationships and have not really been able to appreciate the pain I went through as well as the good memories until I met Michael. A couple months into our relationship, I knew he was the one. Now I have said this about previous boyfriends and this caused me to question well how do you know for sure. But the more I thought about it, and as our relationship grew, I had absolutely no doubts. This was the difference. With other guys, there was always that doubt and nagging voice telling me..he is not for you. Those words are something we tend to ignore because we are so caught up in the moment and the feelings. Once the relationship ends, things become more clear, if you haven’t noticed. You see things in that person you wouldn’t like to live with forever.
What I have with Michael, is unlike anything I could even dream of. Being a girl, I’ve always had somewhat of a list in my mind of what I wanted in my future husband. Well its really weird because Michael checks out on each one of those and then so much more that I could only dream of. He gets me. And strange enough I get him. The best thing about our relationship is we put God first and that has made the journey so much more exciting and wonderful. We put our trust in God first, before each other and that has made all the difference. We both have wounds from previous relationships but we’ve transformed them into lifelong lessons that help our relationship grow. I could probably go on forever about this and about Michael. He’s truly amazing and an inspiration to me. But I just wanted to share a small piece of what this incredible journey has been like for me.
And just know, that there will be pain and suffering, but so much happiness and joy can come out of that if you let it. But you must be willing. So don’t dwell on the past and worry about the future. Your soulmate will find you when the time is right, and your heart will know when it happens.
