I have never been so obsessed, fascinated, mystified, or appreciative of any other subject. Now that I’ve found my calling, I don’t know why it wasn’t obvious from the very start. It may sound cheesy, but finding a major that you are passionate for, is one of the most euphoric sensations in all the world.

A few weeks ago, I learned that two of my poems are being published in Forte, my college’s literary magazine. While it is not the “major league” of writing, I am overwhelmed at the thought that this dream has already become a reality. And wth my poetry collection still growing, I hope for bigger and better things to come.
Strengthening my relationship with God is a continuous goal that I hope to live for the rest of my life. But as I look back on this school year, I can see how far I’ve come. Whether it be reading the Bible for my college class, taking an active role in Newman Club, or committing myself to weekly church services, I know that I have developed a deeper understanding of my faith. I can finally declare my own beliefs, not just the ones handed to me by my parents. This feeling is wonderfully empowering, strangely addicting, and one hundred percent worth doing.
