Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

lovingg all these accomplished goals guys! Its been a year since i did my driving lessons last summer..almost a whole year since my first post on here! I’m all graduated from college and off to work at Disney World for 6 months! :D

Since graduation I’ve literally been driving none stop. My parents are like “we’ve created a monster” I LOVE IT! I love the gas, i love the break, i love controlling the car…I can’t get enough.

For those of you still working at it..DO NOT..i repeat..DO NOT give up…i PROMISE it will be worth it…getting my license (on my own time table! :) was literally one of the best things I ever did for myself.

If anyonee wants any support/encouragement don’t hesitate to contact me!

Life is a highway kids! <3

Don't give up :)

I drove every day over my Thanksgiving break and I lovedd it! I drove twice byself and three times with my parents..and I even drove one of my best friends around the corner..my first non-family member passenger!!! There are definitely still situations where I get nervous/don’t know what to do which is why I still like having my mom or dad in the passenger seat at times.
I honestly can’t believe this is my life right now…That I’m actually on my way to becoming an experienced driver. Oh of course I need LOTSS more practice, but this is a start…Next challenge is the highway!!
I was looking at other people’s posts and noticing a lot of people are frustrated/anxious. If you’re nervous about getting your license or just frustrated with the process…DON’T GIVE UP!! Whether you are 16, 18, 50 or somewhere in between and it seems impossible-it’s NOT…YOU CAN DO IT! :D
This is the best decision I ever made for myself-to face my fear and JUST DO IT..and you can too!!
If anyone needs support through this process please don’t hesitate to contact me! :)
