The vegetable garden didn’t work out so well in 2010 and I didn’t do it in 2011. In fact, I took out the garden that we had as it was overgrown with raspberries. Going to try for an above ground garden in pots on the patio in 2012 with corn, green beans, peas and more :)

How I did it: We had a destination wedding, and decided that we would hire wedding consultants to help us find vendors and coordinate details. However, we also kept track of everything possible (dates, colors, vendors etc), kept a blog for our wedding guests, and kept a budget and reviewed that often. We also had a box in which we could keep wedding details and items, so they would not get lost before going away! Read how I did it…
How I did it: We saved monthly to meet our goal as well as contributing "extra" money (birthday, xmas, dog sitting etc) when it became available. We utilized coupons where we could and we also looked into group rates for excursions that we would go on around the wedding day (as we are having a destination wedding). We regularly reviewed our budget to make sure if we were able to stay on track or not, and kept track of what was paid, and what we still … Read how I did it…
So much has happened this year! 1st, we paid off our 2nd vehicle..hooray! However, we used our emergency fund to do so and then had an emergency. What a relief not to add to our debt burden.
