Cutting Down The Pred 5 months ago

Okay well, this is going pretty good. Yes, I have been late a couple of times by a couple of days taking my Mtx…but I have not missed a dose of either the Mtx or the Humira since I restarted taking both the week of May 17.

As of June 1, I also started to cut down my prednisone, with the goal of getting completely off it by the end of summer. I was taking 10 mg daily for the past two years, am now down to alternating 5 mg and 7.5 mg daily. Will cut back to 5 mg daily by end of June, then will have to contact my Rheumatologist for advice on how to cut out the 5 mg.

Have had a couple of mild flare-ups (my left wrist and thumb) since cutting back, and am also extremely tired, to the point that over the past week I usually end up needing a nap by late afternoon, but it’s nothing I can’t handle so far. Am hoping the Mtx and Humira will have fully kicked in by the time I am completely off the pred.

Have been bad about taking my vitamins though – the blender broke, so I haven’t been having my morning smoothies, so need to get that replaced.

Doing pretty good with this 6 months ago

I have almost completely stopped drinking milk, though will occasionally have a small glass, maybe one per week. Have completely cut out cheese except for sometimes having some Laughing Cow spread on crackers maybe twice/week.

Still tough to remember 6 months ago

Took my Humira Sun (May 24) and took my Mtx this morning.
