I hate debt. My parents hate debt, and I was brought up to feel the same. I want to look around my home and know that what I own is mine and I’ve earnt it. Buying things on credit effectively means that you don’t own them and I couldn’t live like that. Thus it kills me to have student loans – but the good thing is that they are interest free during studying and low interest thereafter. I’m halfway through my BA now, and will then do a MPhil and then PhD (I’m in UK) – I have no financial support from family etc, so it’s all on student loans. This means that my grand total will come to… 43,000 UK pounds! (about $86,000). But that will be less than my annual income hopefully so it should all work out. I’m doing well at uni, and will continue, so I’ll be able to pay them off after I graduate. But I CANNOT WAIT until that day comes!

I’ve been studying it for almost 3 years now; it’s forms part of my degree and by June 2009 I WILL be fluent because I’ll have spent a whole year there for my year abroad – yay!
