i have successfully eliminated gluten from my diet over the past two years and have gotten to the point where it’s second nature and i no longer miss it. lactose i am having much more trouble with. i love cheese. i am not lactose intolerant, but i feel much healthier when i limit my dairy. my energy is much higher. i may just try to limit lactose and not remove it altogether.

How I did it: after finding out two years ago i cannot tolerate gluten, i went on a mission to learn how to bake the things i miss without gluten. i spent my summer attempting recipes and learning about different types of flour. in the end, i found a favorite: a mix of rice, tapioca, and corn flour that allows me to substitute 1-for-1. i am now able to make the things i miss when i want them - such as fried chicken, thick sauces, soups, baked goods lik… Read how I did it…
How I did it: i didn't meet him, but i saw him speak in person today and was sitting just 50 feet from him. since i live in los angeles and don't have the means to travel to india in the foreseeable future, i am satisfied with this as a more realistic alternative to meeting him. he talked for about an hour and a half and it was truly amazing. he talked about cultivating compassion and was so hopefully. and humorous - he doesn't take himself too serious… Read how I did it…
as a kid and early teen, i flew a lot and had no issues. i was never scared until maybe age 13 or 14. i remember hearing about a plane crash (maybe twa 800?) and i began thinking what it must have been like on that plane, or any plane crash.
now i have mini panic attacks when i have to fly (which i hate, because i LOVE to travel), and am nervous for loved ones to fly. even though logically know that the chances of anything happening are sooo minute, and that air travel is safer than car travel, it still freaks me out.
i tend to be against the quick jump to meds that doctors seem to do these days, but i would definitely consider an anti-anxiety pill if it would help me calm down.
this spring i plan to look into it! good luck everyone.
had my first treatment six weeks ago, going for the next tomorrow.
the laser hardly hurt (it’s a small tattoo on my ankle) and i can already see a slight difference!
just a few more treatments, then it should be faded enough for me to be done and satisfied.
