I need more money. Unfortunately I am a low-rank scientist in the biological research field. What can I do?
I look forward to establishing a small business, using my Chinese background to handle scholar/student exchange. Or if someone think the stock market is a good place to make more money?
$200k annually would be a satisfactory number.

In the biomedical research field, it is very difficult to become a tenure-track professor, but it is my dream.
I have published two journal articles, and am writing the third one. The problem is that my boss is not so interested in this one. I have a lot to do but have only 3 month or so left. If I can not finish it within the 3 month, it may never get published. The boss gives up on papers too easily, which happened several times in this lab…
I have two sons, 5 and 1 old, respectively. I currently own my townhouse of 1400 sq ft, but I feel increasingly the need for a single house. We need more space and the kids need a back yard to play in.
The problem is that my next job is not secured yet. I might have to work somewhere else. Once it is set I will start to look for a house.
There will be choices, the most difficult one will be old house but close, or new house but far, difficult decision to make.
