people are having a really hard time pronouncing my name which is Elisheva, Elliesheva phonetically. A lot of people think I’m giving them a first and middle name, because the name is so unfamiliar. So…they’re calling me Ellie for short. But that is also annoying. I just talked to a girl named Stematia which is really pretty, but people have a hard time with her name so she got the nickname Stem!!! So it could be worse. I’m frustrated but I guess Hebrew is difficult for those who don’t understand it.

But only with vowels. I don’t speak Israeli Hebrew at all. I’d like to understand what I’m reading too. I know a few very basic words. So, I need more.
