I’ve been on the infield 7 times. It’s a blast! Hard to see the horses, but it’s still a great way to spend a day in the sun (less fun in the rain, however).

A friend of mine is a pilot, and this summer he flew up to see me in a Piper Warrior, and took me for a fabulous ride along the coastline. Twice he let me take the controls and fly the plane. What a thrill!
I have no desire to get my license, but it was a fantastic afternoon, one I’ll always remember.
