How I did it: We bought a short sale, and waited 7 months for the sale to go through, multiple inspections, and even paying to replace an AC unit before we closed so it would pass an inspection. But we finally closed, and it is perfect. I have a driveway and a fenced yard and a DISHWASHER. I think I'm a real adult now. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I had never competed in biking or swimming before, and having to do both prior to running a 5k seemed daunting, but I finished strong, and was able to run the entire 5k with no walking!
