I talk to myself in my horrible Irish accent all the time when I’m walking alone. I’m sure I sound completely like a crazy person to anyone nearby who happens to hear. It must be getting better, though, because it slips out when I’m drunk and people think I am Irish, or apparently sometimes English. Of course, the judges of this are other drunk people so it’s not too much of a compliment, but it’s still lots of fun. The other night I was at a party, and some guy I hadn’t talked to at all that night came over to me.
HIM: So, where are you from?
ME: From here
HIM: No, what about before that?
ME: ..Still from here, haha
HIM: What! No! You have a thick English accent!
And I had not at all been aware of doing any accents. My UK alter-ego just comes out when I drink, har har.

I’m on my 7th week of bellydance class, aw yea. I feel awesome. On top of these sweet moves that I am not good at yet at all BUT hopefully eventually will be, I’ve learned all these cool stretches that have really helped sort my body out. My bellydance teacher is superawesome, and if you live in KW, Ontario, I totally recommend Haft Vadi for this. Hurray!

platinum blonde is close enough.

I’m improving a bit, although basically I only have one or possibly two notes, and even then they come and go. Harrr.

Hurt, but definitely not as much as the nips. I only got the lovely triangle yesterday, so who knows how the healing will go, but so far it’s been generally painless and easy to deal with. We shall see.

Choosing my courses for university, I am totally going to be taking intro to hebrew 1 & 2, or whatever they are officially called. Hopefully some of my totally small vocabulary will come back to me, but probably not. We will see!

My kitten is pretty cute and sweet also (not sweat). Her name is Harley and she totally moved in last night, totally successfully. She was all eating food right away and being at home in my room, not even getting lost in my closet. Basically she is super lonely now that she doesn’t have SO MANY other tiny cats to play with, all night she was demanding constant lovey times from me. It was okay, except that it meant I had to sort of skip supper because she got real upset if I ever left my room.
Sleeping was excellent coz she curled up right on me and was the most prettiest ever. The downside is that kittens hate sleeping in, though, and want to play at 6AM. I don’t usually want to play at 6AM. I held my ground until 8, and then gave in.
Harley is learning that there is more to the house than just my room, and at first such a thing was terrifying. The minute I opened my door, she was down the stairs like a lightning cat, and then realized that she was scared of generally everything. Now she is an upstairs-only cat who is only coaxed downstairs by extreme bouts of lonliness, like while I’m trying to make breakfast because I’m dying of starvation from being confined to my room. She has mastered all the top-floor rooms though, strutting through the hallway with ease instead of skittery-ass running.
Man, when she stretches out as far as she goes, she is long. And cute.

My quest for kittens is almost over. You’d never believe it would work, but the de-allergizing treatment did the trick for my family, and all is well. Tiny little Harley the cat moves in on Friday! Ahh! I am the most excited lady around the town. Today I went and bought all the kitten supplies I will need, I think. Hurray!

With some practice I think I will get this. So far practice means that I semi-whistle annoyingly while I’m at work all day. Not too much improvement yet, but I think I just need time.
Also trying to whistle along with songs helps, as stupid as it sounds while you’re doing it. Just gotta remember: DOESN’T MATTER. I MATTER.

I am totally working on this. Huge barriers being: father & brother very much allergic to cats, mother disliking them. BUT amazingly there is this place called Divine Wellness that asserts that they can rid people of allergies. We have an appointment there for the 14th. If it really does work, I will be well on my way. There is a certain kitten I have in mind, and oh I love her so much already.

I sent in three postcards to Postsecret and they posted one, which was pretty rad. Some friends totally called me on it coz they recognized my handwriting, which is hilarious but okay.
I do love the Postsecret site, but in recent times I’ve found it became way too “I wanted to die but then postsecret saved me, or such,” which is valid and I’m sure many people have the same deal going on there, but it’s just a bit redundant. There are crazy and interesting and funny secrets out there. Helping people is great, would never knock it.. yet it just seems like the same old thing most weeks.
Ohh, unempathetic me. (Why is unempathetic not a real word?)

I took Accents For Actors out of the library but found it very hard to get anything out of. All those rad people were reading their passages in their lovely accents and I just couldn’t keep up. I was half hoping it would be like a cheesy language tape-type deal where you repeat the sentence after they say it.
Also lacking motivation. Har har. Most of me just wants to sleep or read instead of listening to this crazy tape and going, ”..wait, what?”

Step one: figure out what I want my tattoo to be of. Vague spinal circles. Hum. I just can’t commit to one image, that is my problem. It’s not a real terrible problem, though, because daydreaming about different designs is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Holy hell, is this book ever boring. Maybe it’s because I seem to have lagged around page 65, but it’s so hard to find the motivation when other books are so much more interesting. Maybe when I finish How To Be Idle by Tom Hodgkinson I will return to the Atlas Shrugged madness. I know that reading 65 pages of 1167 is perhaps not the best sample to then rate the whole book HORRIBLY UNINTERESTING, but I can’t help myself. Haha. I WILL finish it, I just might have to renew it times before then.

Had my first driving lesson today, with my dad. Clearly not as terrifying as I’d expected, actually sort of fun. This is all going at less than 10km/hour though, so I’m anticipating actual road driving being a bunch less fun and a bunch more stressful. Ohh well.

Most painful thing I’ve experienced so far, but worth it. I’ve always had a not-very-awesome relationship with my boobs because, well, there isn’t very much of them. I always wanted to get them pierced so that I could be more accepting of them, maybe even like them—and hey, it totally worked. My confidence level is up by crazy amounts, and being topless no longer phases me. It’s awesome.

TV is a waste of life. Even computers are better because you can at least interact with what’s going on, instead of just staring mindlessly.
