I’ve always thought it would be amazing to bike the length of Japan. Start from Kyushyu and work my way up to Hokkaido. It’d even be better to do it and chase the sakura blossoms as they bloom.

Do it once – great. You get a little bit of an idea of what’s available. Do it again? Choose an area away from the cities and stay there for a good period. It’s the best way to really experience the culture. And even then, you’ll need to come back many more times to even come close to understanding all the nuances and intricacies of Japanese society.

Fun experience – but my singing abilities pale compared to my friends haha. If you can speak some Japanese definitely try doing a Japanese song! Makes things all the more interesting :p.
